PLAYSMART ACADEMY
The Academy is not your typical “summer camp”. Our original branded program provides a curriculum that blends fun and performance for 5th through 8th graders who are looking to excel both on and off the court or field. Centered around the 5 PlaySmart pillars, we teach life-lessons that build a foundation for success where they can build confidence, gain life skills, be exposed to new ideas, see future possibilities for themselves and receive guidance and encouragement from staff members, coaches and other positive adults.
The PlaySmart cities that run an Academy each provide a unique experience for local youth. For more information on the program nearest you, visit your local PlaySmart city.
The Academy curriculum is saturated with PlaySmart’s five pillars, which are used to convey lessons and skills needed for academic and life success.

MEET THE PLAYSMART LEADERS
FRANK ILLE
National Director, PlaySmart Academy
Frank is Oklahoma born and raised. After a stellar three-sport high school career at Bishop McGuinness in Oklahoma City and a 2010 inductee of the Bishop McGuinness Athletic Hall of Fame, Frank went on to play quarterback, tailback and linebacker for the Princeton Tigers. Frank graduated from Princeton with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. He went on to receive his MBA degree in Marketing from the University of Oklahoma after which he went to work with IMG, the world’s first sports agency and marketing firm, in Cleveland, Ohio. Frank is an Officer and Alumni Executive Committee member of the BMHS Alumni Association (President 2011-2013). Frank volunteers his time coaching youth football and basketball. Frank resides in Oklahoma City where he is the Director of RV Development for Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores, Inc. Frank has three children: Evan, Isabelle & Alexandra.
